These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kappo application and website (kappo.ai), operated by Kappo Labs Inc. ("Kappo," "we," "us"). By using Kappo, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Kappo is a calorie tracking and AI-powered meal planning application. We provide tools for tracking food intake, generating meal plans, creating grocery lists, and browsing recipes.
Kappo is not medical advice. Our calorie calculations, macro targets, and meal suggestions are for informational purposes only. Always consult a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have medical conditions.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Kappo offers paid subscription plans (Pro at $10/month and AI at $15/month). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- Free trial: New users get a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
- Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the application
- Upload malicious content or spam
- Resell or redistribute the service without permission
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create in Kappo (food logs, custom recipes, notes). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this content to provide the service to you.
6. AI-Generated Content
Kappo uses AI to generate meal plans, recipe suggestions, and nutritional recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You should verify nutritional information, especially if you have allergies or medical dietary requirements.
7. Intellectual Property
The Kappo application, branding, recipes, and content are owned by Kappo Labs Inc. and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
Kappo is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or service interruptions.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Privacy
Your use of Kappo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Kappo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York, New York.
